You Are Secretshopping Already!

Maybe you are a secret shopper already and just do not know it. Secretshopping is easy to do. People secret shop subconsciously all the time and do not get paid for it. And they could get paid for secretshopping if they would just sign up with a secretshopping agency. If you do not think you secret shop whenever you go out then think again. Think about the last time you went to a restaurant. Most likely you left a tip. Was not the tip based on the servers performance? Whenever you leave a tip, you are leaving a judgment based on your experience. Or, lets say you go to a book store and they did not have the book you were looking for in stock. This is very common, but how did the sales staff handle the situation for you? Did they look hard and offer to order the book right away? Whether you bought the book or not from this bookstore depended on how they handled the situation. If you ended up buying the book from them, you made a secretshopping judgment based on your experience.

This is exactly what secret shoppers do. They make judgments about their secret shopping experiences and get paid to tell someone who cares deeply about the customer. Secretshopping is just like regular shopping except one gets paid and the other pays. All customer service industries are interested in how their customers think and feel when they are shopping at one of their retail stores or online shopping websites.

Market trends can confuse excuses for poor sales, but secretshopping is very direct. Numbers tell us that sales are down, but do not offer a reason why. Secretshopping can easily reveal the reasons for poor sales. Every customer service orientated business should be cautious before they blame a dwindling economy for poor sales. The reason could be internal and secretshopping will reveal it if it is.

Do not expect to have a successful career in secretshopping. Depending on the job, one might be lucky if they could pay the cable bill or for the bus ticket back home. Many of the restaurant secretshopping gigs will pay for the meal and that is it. So you may get a free burger at a restaurant or a bag of cranberries from a grocery store out of it but that is better than paying for it. However, there are some more lucrative secretshopping jobs. For example, in the self storage industry, there are secret shoppers who report to work from 8 to 5 and get paid hourly to talk on the phone all day. Some of these secret shoppers can afford more than just a slice of bread for lunch and may make enough to have a maid clean their home once a week. However, do not expect chauffer limo service to a five star restaurant everyday. Do not expect that with any job.

That fact is we all shop at stores and eat at restaurants. Even if you may have a great job in the city that pays for a fancy sports car does not mean you cannot add secretshopping to your resume. Sign up with a secretshopping agency and get paid to eat. We all can use a free lunch every now and then. You are going to go out and eat and judge your service anyway, so you might as well get paid to do it.
