Register With A Mystery Shopping Agency For Jobs

  • A mystery shopping agency is in great demand these days. They supply agents to business houses belonging to all industries. They provide candidates interested in visiting front end business venues to observe the performance of the staff and the buyer satisfaction. Good agencies do not charge any fee from the candidates for placing them in jobs. Some firms ask their agents to visit their retail outlets personally, while others ask them to interact with the sales staff and the buyers online or via telephone. The agents pose as clients and their identity or purpose is not revealed to the staff or the clients. Hence a staff member or a casual buyer might be giving information openly and frankly to the agents without being deliberately aware of it.

Though it is recommended for a candidate interested in becoming an agent to take the assistance of a mystery shopping agency to get placed well, he can approach the recruiting firm directly. The firms usually hire the agents on a contractual basis and pay them per assignment. Very few firms appoint agents in the capacity of regular employees. The people working as agents usually decide their hours and time of work according to their convenience. They can also clearly tell their recruiting firm the days on which they will be available for work. As they are usually hired on a contractual basis which is a temporary appointment, the firms also agree to the terms of the appointed agents.

Many times the agents convey their work preferences to the mystery shopping agency that places them and they negotiate with the firm on these criteria on behalf of the agent. The firms that appoint the agents assess the agents by their quality of work output and not by the quantity of their work output. These jobs are really interesting. Unlike other work areas the agents don’t have to spend sitting at desks for hours together. They actively move about in busy marketplaces or entertainment venues amongst other business venues.  The job is very simple. An agent might just need to visit a retail outlet and converse with the staff and clients out there or just stand in a queue to buy a hotdog. Sometimes he might be asked to visit luxury hotels and movie halls. He might also have to travel by flight and train.

The mystery shopping agency might show a worthwhile candidate a worthy placement, but it is not that this career is full of plus points only. There are negative aspects to this career also. The hiring firms might not pay the agent well or what they promise initially. They might also put undue work load on an agent for paying a good amount. Even though these jobs are interesting they might turnout to be quite boring after some days. Hence it is always advisable for a person working as an agent to work in different profiles with different industries on a rotational basis.

Though the nature of the work might appear to be full of fun and casual the mystery shopping agency should tell the candidates that register with it, to take their work seriously because they are the major players in giving a firm, feedback about the happenings at their front offices and retail outlets. The firms rely heavily on this feedback to improve their client relationship measures so that they are benefited in the long run.
