The method is simple. The quality assurance service provider resorts to a practice where persons are sent shopping to stores or establishments. They are just like an ordinary shopper but are specially instructed to observe the various aspects of the establishment without revealing his identity or purpose. They are to notice the things that do not seem right and also the things that can be improved. If they find something or somebody is performing exceptionally well, they are also required to notice that too. At the end of the visit they are to report their observation to the special shopping agency who appointed them. After analysis of the data the appointing company is notified of the findings and they can act accordingly.
