One way you can use secret shopping to mold a sales culture or reinforce a sales strategy is to look for th right phrases. Let your people know what prhases will help you sell better and give better customer service. Start with just a few, so you do not overwhelm your staff. Then do secret telephone shops to see if people are using the phrases. Give them a prize each time the wanted phrase gets used. Recognize the people using the most best phrases. Then review the phrases with everyone. Then shop again. Continue this until everyone is hitting high marks. It takes consistency and persistence to cause new behaviors or new sales talk to become normal behavior and normal conversation. You have to go to work on it.
