Believe it or not, paid survey jobs have been around for a long time. Today, they are getting more national attention thanks to the convenience of the internet. It was not long ago when a well dressed person armed with a clip board stopped shopping mall patrons to take a quick paid survey. These people may have vanished from the mall, but they are now using the internet to attract a wider audience. Though in the mall days they sometimes offered a dollar to answer a few questions or be the guinea pig of a new facial cream. From the internet they cannot track you down face to face, so it is easier for the innocent bystander to get away. So, now solicitors have raised the stakes with special offers, including money to simply take a paid survey at your own leisure.
In fact, they have made it into a job title, paid survey, and stay at home moms are the target. Who are they? They are survey and marketing companies who want public opinions about products, services, political views, and personal views so badly that they are willing to pay them for it. Sometimes market research is conducted directly by the company producing the product. Others are conducted by a middleman who offers what is considered easy money for a paid survey taker.
Paid survey websites should be taken to caution. Though there are many legit middleman websites, they are spoiled by easy money schemes. So, the question for a stay at home mom is what warning signs to look for. The first sign, like in any bogus job, is membership fees. Ask yourself, why in the world should you have to pay someone to make money? If you have to ask yourself that question, then do not do it. Supposedly, the membership includes a list of paid survey websites that you can go on and make money. However, you can find many sites for free. It may take a little more work on your part, but they are out there. How do you think those membership websites created their list?
Also, if you search hard enough you can find membership sites that do not require a membership fee for a paid survey list. Yet, this is where illegitimate sites lure you in. The free site provides links to the scam sites where they again demand a membership fee.
Most paid survey websites convince stay at home moms that they can earn big money by taking these surveys so the membership fee will get paid off immediately. The truth is no one is making a living off a paid survey and it is extremely hard to even make pocket change. The awards, if any, are usually in the form of coupons or your name will be entered in drawing where you could possibility win 500 dollars.
Yes, you can find a legit paid survey out in cyberspace somewhere, but it is usually overshadowed by the schemers. At least now you know the difference, however do not go out and buy a luxurious car yet.
