A village in Cook County, Illinois, Franklin Park witnessed rapid development in the sixties following the town governments policy to promote industrial development and thus the rise of Franklin Park self storage facilities. With the addition of nearly 65 acres for the expansion of the towns industrial facilities in the nineties, better infrastructural facilities, and rich water reserves, Franklin Park became the fourth largest industrial region in Illinois. Moreover, easy access to OHare airport cargo terminals, major expressways, and railroad terminals have made the village a highly sought after area for a variety of light industries and presently, there are over 1,200 industries and allied businesses involving over two-thirds of the population. Increasing population has naturally led to a demand in storage facilities and the village now boasts several well-equipped facilities offering a variety of storing options.
