Your expectations can make your experience turn out one way or another.

I talked to a client today who told me about a ZZ Top concert she went to a few weeks back. Now you know it had to be fun. Those guys are real showmen and they can play the guitar, too.

When they played “Legs” at the concert, everyone was hoping that they would break out the white fussy guitars and spin them around. Well they broke out the white fussy guitars, but they didn’t have them rigged up to spin and the crowd was very disappointed.

Isn’t it something, that a great concert experience can be soured by an expectation that was not met? Be careful what you ask your customers to expect. If you don’t deliver in the way they hoped you would, you might make things worse instead of better.
