Be Choosy When Renting Storage

When you are looking for Carbondale storage units you must remember to be selective. Do not just jump at the first thing that you find because a lot of places in Colorado have great deals that you do not want to miss out on. The first place that you call may offer a great deal, but you will not know how good of a deal it is until you have called other places asking about their Carbondale storage units and the prices. After you have called a few facilities, you will have a pretty good idea of what is a good deal for the area. The only time that you should consider reserving right away is if the availability is really low.

It is a good idea to get an idea of what you are storing before you just call a bunch of facilities. If you do not know what you are storing and just ask for a standard price, you will not be able to get a good estimate. That would be like calling a mechanic and asking how much it costs to get your car fixed without knowing what kind of work needs to be done. The same goes for Carbondale storage units and the prices. The prices will vary depending on the size and type of storage that you need to get. The manager will be able to make a couple of recommendations if you tell them what you are looking to store.

The first thing that you need to know is the size of Carbondale storage units that are available. Most places in Colorado will offer these standard sizes. The five by five is big enough for up to twenty five boxes if you were to take advantage of all of the space, including vertical space. You can probably store a dresser or recliner. You can get a space that is temperature controlled which is nice for you when you visit and even better for your belongings if they may be damaged due to extreme temperatures. The climate controlled spaces are usually located inside a building. If the building has multiple floors, make sure that they have an elevator before you commit to the space. You do not want to have to carry things upstairs when you want to get things to your unit.
