Every now and then we get in a rut. This is true in most everything from what to cook for dinner to our sales presentations at work. One of the best things to do when you encounter a drought in your sales is to go back to the basics and remember your ABC’s.A- Always

C- Closing!I’ve noticed a common thread in a majority of the companies we mystery shop; they aren’t asking for the sale. Some of them do a fantastic job qualifying the customer and building value, and then, when it comes to the end, they flop. Without asking for a name, or phone number, or without asking if the customer wants to make an appointment or better yet a reservation, they end the conversation.Don’t let a customer in your store or on the phone go without asking them to seal the deal. Chances are that if you ask they’ll say yes, but if you never ask they won’t have the chance to say yes.Self Storage is not unlike any other sales culture.
